Terms of Use

1. About the platform

resale.center ("we", "platform", "us") is a property marketplace connecting direct flat owners with verified buyers in Gurugram, India. We are not a real estate agency and do not act as a broker, agent, or intermediary in any property transaction.

All transactions are between the buyer and the owner directly. resale.center is not a party to any property sale, agreement, or dispute.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 years or older to use this platform
• You must be the registered owner (or an authorised representative with a Power of Attorney) of any property you list
• Brokers, agents, and property dealers are strictly prohibited from listing properties
• You must provide accurate identity verification (Google OAuth + WhatsApp OTP)

3. Owner obligations

As an owner listing a property, you agree that:

• You are the actual, legal owner of the property listed (or have PoA authority)
• All property details (area, price, photos, description) are accurate and not misleading
• Photos are real photos of the actual property — not stock images or photos of other properties
• You will respond to buyer messages within a reasonable time
• You will update the listing status promptly when the property is sold
• You will not share your WhatsApp number or contact details in the chat until you are satisfied the buyer is genuine
• Any misrepresentation may result in your account being permanently banned and listed on our Red Broker Wall

4. Buyer obligations

As a buyer, you agree that:

• You will use the platform only to genuinely enquire about properties for personal purchase
• You will not harvest owner information for any purpose other than the stated property enquiry
• You will not impersonate another person or create multiple accounts
• After 4 messages, you agree to submit identity verification (LinkedIn + company ID)
• You will not harass, threaten, or abuse owners through the chat system

5. Prohibited conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on resale.center:

• Listing properties you do not own or have authority over
• Brokers or agents creating accounts and posing as direct owners
• Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Using the platform to collect leads for brokerage purposes
• Scraping, crawling, or automated data collection
• Attempting to access other users' accounts or encrypted data
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans or messaging limits
• Sending spam, unsolicited marketing, or irrelevant messages

Violations may result in immediate account termination and listing on our public Red Broker Wall.

6. Payments and refunds

Paid plans and credit purchases are processed via Cashfree Payment Gateway. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) inclusive of applicable taxes.

• Listing upgrade payments (owner) are non-refundable once a listing goes live
• Buyer contact credit packages are non-refundable once credits have been used
• Unused credits expire 2 years from purchase date
• If you believe a payment was charged in error, contact us within 7 days at hello@resale.center

7. Intellectual property

The resale.center name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. You retain ownership of photos and content you upload. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content on the platform for the duration of your listing.

You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any part of our platform without written permission.

8. Disclaimers

resale.center is a marketplace platform only. We:

• Do not verify the legal title or encumbrance status of any listed property
• Do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing information
• Are not responsible for any disputes, financial losses, or legal issues arising from a property transaction
• Do not provide legal, financial, or investment advice

Buyers are strongly advised to verify all property documents independently before entering any transaction.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, resale.center's total liability for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses of any kind.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gurugram, Haryana.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be notified via email to registered users.
