1. Who we are
resale.center is an independent online property listing platform operating in Gurugram, India. We connect property owners directly with buyers — without brokers in between. References to "we", "us", or "resale.center" in this policy refer to the platform and its operators.
2. What data we collect
- Mobile number — collected from owners to verify listings via OTP and from buyers only when they explicitly submit an enquiry form.
- Selfie — collected from property owners as part of listing verification. This is stored securely and is never shown publicly. It is only accessed if a buyer files a verified fraud complaint.
- Property details — society, sector, price, photos, and description provided by owners during listing.
- Enquiry data — name, phone, and message submitted via the contact form by buyers or general visitors.
- Usage data — page views and listing view counts, collected anonymously via server logs.
3. How we use your data
- To verify property ownership via OTP and selfie matching.
- To display your listing to prospective buyers.
- To send you WhatsApp notifications about your listing status, enquiries, and renewal.
- To respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form.
- To detect and remove fraudulent listings.
4. What we never do with your number
Your mobile number is never sold, rented, or shared with broker databases, real estate portals, or third-party advertisers. A buyer can only see your number after tapping the WhatsApp button on your listing — at which point the WhatsApp app opens and the conversation is between you and the buyer directly.
5. Data sharing
We do not share personal data with any third party except:
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger) for the purpose of storing and serving the platform.
- Law enforcement agencies, if required to do so by a valid legal order.
6. Data retention
Listing data is retained for one year from submission or until you remove the listing. Selfies are retained for three years from submission to allow retrospective fraud investigations. Enquiry form data is retained for 12 months.
7. Your rights
Under the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@resale.center from the mobile number used during registration.
8. Cookies
resale.center does not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. We use only a single session cookie required for OTP verification, which expires when you close your browser.
9. Security
Selfie files are stored in a non-web-accessible directory with restricted file permissions. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We conduct regular security reviews.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features change. Material changes will be announced via WhatsApp to registered owners.
